What is your sport of choice, and how did you find out about it?
Mountainboarding: sore Leon Robbins shredding at the X-games on TV and was instantly drawn to the versatility of the sport.
How long have you been riding?
About 6 years or so.
What is it that attracts you to Mountainboarding?
I like how you don't need very specific conditions to ride. You can just get out and ride and have a good time without spending heaps or travelling hours to the beach or snow and you save a heap of cash.
How often do you ride?
As often as possible, mostly just a couple of times a week.
Do you have many mates that you ride with? Is this number increasing?
I ride in a group called the Damage Boardriders and we have been riding together for many years. We do a few demo's together on our demo setup we built from scratch. Any boarder is pretty much my mate, I'm yet to meet a shit mate from boarding. New boarders are always increasing, especially in my hometown of Ballarat.
What kind of music do you listen to generally and what's your favorite genre to get you pumped for sessions?
I listen to all sorts of music. Punk, hip hop, jazz, reggae, drum'n'bass and everything else. Favorite type to ride to is hip hop like Flavor Flav, Soul Position or Snoop + Dr. Dre are always good. As often as possible, mostly just a couple of times a week.
Tell us about your setup and any mods you have made to it.
I ride a MUNRO Raven Pro, with the new Rockstar pro alloy hubs. Also ride with heelstraps sometimes, and have MUNRO hard springs and orange eggshox which allows the board to be quite stable at high speeds or on rough terrain.
Final thoughts?
Stay in school, don't do drugs and eat your Vegies.

What is your sport of choice, and how did you find out about it?
Kiteboarding: I started when my friend got his first kite, it was only a 2m foil but it was so much fun. My Dad was getting into kiting himself so I just gave it a go and have been loving it since.
How long have you been riding?
I've been kiteboarding for over 2 years, but have only recently got into landboarding. There isn't many places to ride with a kite in Perth so I travel up to Lancelin about an hour north and ride on the hard sand there.
What is it that attracts you to Kiteboarding?
Kiteboarding and Landboarding are just the most cruisiest sports ever. Yeah, sure you get that amazing adrenalin rush of the airtime, but the people and the sport are generally so laid back they are fun to hang with and you make a heap of cool new friends.
How often do you ride?
I only get to ride every so often as the landboarding is so far away. Maybe every 2 weeks if I'm lucky. I kiteboard nearly every day in summer.
Do you have many mates that you ride with? Is this number increasing?
Kiteboarding is becoming a majorly populated sport. I kite with 3 mates of mine all under 18. Everyday a new kitesurfer comes down to the local beach.
What kind of music do you listen to generally and what's your favorite genre to get you pumped for sessions?
I generally listen to dance music with a good beat to it, but when I'm riding I listen to rock, alternative and indie, sometimes relaxed music has a good feel to it as your boosting through the air. Bands such as Maximo Park, Bloc Party, Artic Monkeys, Kasabian or atmosphere for Rap.
Tell us about your setup and any mods you have made to it
I ride the MUNRO Grommet. This board is so nice to ride because its super quick and very light. I havn't made any mods to it yet, but soon I'll pimp it out and spray paint the hubs silver and put a kite handle in the middle. I also ride with a 10m EH ripper kite, which is a fast kite but I'm still thinking to change to a different sized kite.
Final thoughts?
Just to never get over having fun at what you do. Once you pass the stage where you have fun, you'll regret taking up the sport. Make sure it doesn't happen!
