25.03.08 | NZ Rider Ben Toulmin joins MUNRO's Team
New Zealand shredder, Ben Toulmin has joined the MUNRO team, and is now on board the MUNRO Raven Pro. Ben is known for his styled layed out backflips and generally just busting huge.
MUNRO caught up with Ben for an interview about the New Zealand scene and what he has been up to.
MUNRO: So Ben, whats the scene up to at the moment in NZ?
TOULMIN: To be honest it appears to be heading back to former glory with alot more room to expand!
MUNRO: Rad, so are there new riders or the old crew jsut getting back into it?
TOULMIN: Bit of both aye but lots of new spots and some creative thaught coming back into it...
MUNRO: Yeah, we've heard about some of the spots, do u wanna describe some to us?
TOULMIN: Our latest and greatest is proberly the new setup in rotovagas (rotoura for the uneducated) which incorperates a sweet little track with some killer turns including one with a ply wallride, a nice tabletop and some sweet rails. Ontop of this we have just laid out pegs for another place in waihi which should be getting built this weekend and maybe something hapening in taupo in the near future? not to mentions the good old spots and afew small low key spots...
MUNRO: Sounds rad. So how are you finding riding the new Raven Pro deck?
TOULMIN: Yea it's dope aye, nice and stiff with a good pop to it, it's getting a good thrashing....
MUNRO:Glad you are enjoying it. What are your plans for the future? are we likely to see you back on Australian soil anytime soon?
TOULMIN: the future? get more creative and go bigger... try come up with some fresh stuff. As for traveling as always it comes down to that stuff that makes the world go round $$ but hey you never know... as the other trips have been will decide about 5 days befor the event...
MUNRO: hahah nice, thanks for your time Ben, any last words?
