JOHNNY KAPAHALA: BACK ON BOARD

Aussie Riders Jarrad Cronin and our very own team MUNRO rider Ryan Slater traveled over to New Zealand for 6 weeks to join Leon Robbins, Akoni Kama, Kody Stewart, Ben Toulmin and Joe Lawry to perform as stunt doubles in the New Disney Channel Original movie.

The movie is actually a sequel to a film made 7 years ago called "Johnny Tsunami" but in this film Johnny Kapahala, returns to Oahu, Hawaii, for the wedding of his hero – his grandfather, local surf legend. He then discovers the sport of mountainboarding and a local crew called the Dirt Devils. When Johnny's grandfather and his new wife open a surf shop that also caters to mountain boarders, they are soon embroiled in a turf war with a rival shop owner who wants to shut their business down.

The film will be playing in June on Disney Channel as well as available on DVD, which will be a great boost in exposure for mountainboarding.
